The Cessna Pilot Center private pilot course is available only at Cessna Pilot Centers.
We believe that the most important rating you will attain is the private pilot certificate, as that is the basis upon which all your other flight training will be built. It is the foundation. Don’t settle for less than professional flight training available at a FAA Approved Cessna Pilot Center. Don’t settle for less than Ocean Aviation.
Train at the Beach
Ocean Aviation is four miles from the world famous resort of Ocean City, Maryland. Live at the beach and train above the most beautiful resort on the east coast. Our weather is perfect for your flight training all year around. Plus, we are less than an hour’s flight time from the most complex airspace in the country. We offer real world flying experience and a vacation lifestyle.
Ocean Aviation is based at the Ocean City Municipal Airport. When choosing a flight school, so many things should be considered. One of the biggest considerations should be, can I train in the airspace where the flight school is based? Is it overcrowded, is it restricted? Do I have to spend my flight training funds to fly away from the school to somewhere where training is permitted?
At Ocean Aviation, the airspace above and within 50 miles in all directions is class “E” airspace. That means the area around our airport; in fact, right above our airport is perfect for your flight training.
Surprisingly, so many flight schools are based in congested areas where flight training is prohibited. Your time spent in the aircraft flying is costly and should be spent training, not flying away from your school to begin your lesson.
Our staff of FAA and Cessna certified flight instructors are ready to prepare you to become a private pilot and then onwards, toward advanced ratings if you choose. Training with Ocean Aviation will not only prepares you to earn your private pilot license but also to be a safe and competent pilot.
Ocean Aviation’s Cessna Pilot Center curriculum has been recognized by flight training professionals as the absolute best flight training in the world.
Our staff is here to ensure your success. Your flight instructor will be assigned to you on your first day of training and will be available throughout your training. Our one on one instruction is second to none. Our chief flight instructor will ensure consistent training standards are maintained at each of your stage checks.

Each student decides what schedule of flight training will work best for their lifestyle. While some choose an accelerated schedule, others may choose to fly just once or twice weekly. The choice is yours. And best of all, unless you are enrolled in the Accelerated Program, you will pay as you go so no large outlay of funds is required. You schedule can be as relaxed as you should be as you live your dream of learning to fly. The Federal Aviation Administration, under part 141 of the Federal Aviation Regulations has set a minimum time for an applicant to obtain the Private Pilot’s License at 35 hours of flight time. The FAA does not set a time frame to accomplish those hours so your training can be as rapid or as relaxed as you would like it to be. Our goal is always to provide the most professional training available.
